The residential streets are well established but still lack the mature canopy that older suburbs benefit from. North and west-facing rooms heat up quickly on summer days and stay warm well into the evening. While South Morang’s housing stock isn’t quite as new as the newest estates, there are a good number of the homes that were originally fitted with basic, builder-grade window coverings which have either been removed or have simply worn out.
